Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF)

  1. The Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) is a central sector scheme
    under the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan stimulus package of
    Rs.15000 crore for incentivizing investments.
  2. Eligible Entities for Support under AHIDF:
     Farmer Producer Organization (FPO)
     Private companies
     Individual entrepreneurs
     Section 8 companies
     Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises
  3. Implementing Agency – Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund will be
    implemented by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries,
    Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
  4. Activities Eligible for Availing Benefits Under AHIDF
     Dairy processing and value addition infrastructure,
     Meat processing and value addition infrastructure and
     Animal feed plant (however, Aqua feed is not eligible)
     Breed Improvement technology and Breed Multiplication Farm
     Animal Waste to Wealth Management (Agri Waste Management)
     Setting up of Veterinary Vaccine and Drugs Manufacturing facilities
  5. Beneficiary contribution – Minimum 10% of Project cost.
  6. Moratorium Period – 24 Months (Max)
  7. Benefit in terms of Interest Subvention – 3% on term loan amount for the period of 8
    years, no maximum capping
  8. Credit Guarantee Cover – The credit guarantee will be provided only for those projects
    which are viable and are covered under MSME defined ceilings and the guarantee coverage
    would be up to 25% of the credit facility available to the borrower.
  9. Credit Guarantee cover: Eligible units may also avail credit guarantee cover from CGTMSE
    scheme for the loan amount up to Rs 2.00 crores with the guarantee cover of maximum
    extent of 85% of loan amount.

     Partnership Firms
     Proprietorship Firms
     Cooperatives
     Public Sector Companies

 Government owned Firms

  1. Scope: The programme provides Central Financial Assistance (CFA to project developers
    and service charges to implementing agency and inspection agencies in respect of setting up
    of Briquette / Pellet manufacturing plants and Biomass (non- bagasse) cogeneration projects
    in industries.
  2. Benefits(CFA) under Scheme
    Briquette / Pellet Manufacturing plants Rs. 9 Lakh per MTPH (metric ton/hour)
    manufacturing capacity (maximum CFA of Rs 45
    Lakhs per plant)

Biomass (Non-bagasse ) cogeneration
Projects

Rs. 40 Lakhs/MW (on Installed Capacity)
(maximum CFA of Rs. 5 Crores per project)

Implementing Agency – Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency
Limited (IREDA) shall be the implementing agency.
